Welcome to my website

I hope if we work together you will find me to be kind, supportive and easy to talk to.

I'm a qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Ipswich and Woodbridge, Suffolk, with a particular focus on loss, bereavement, and relationship issues. I offer private, confidential support in a calm and welcoming setting where you can explore what’s troubling you at your own pace.

As a trauma-informed practitioner, I also support clients who may be experiencing the emotional effects of past trauma—whether that involves reliving distressing events or struggling with longer-term impacts. While I don’t offer diagnoses, I provide a compassionate, understanding space to work through difficult emotions and experiences.

My professional journey includes voluntary work as a bereavement counsellor with St Helena Hospice, and I bring not only clinical knowledge but also life experience—as a parent of three and a partner in a long-term marriage of over 30 years—into my practice. These perspectives help me connect with clients of all ages and backgrounds in a real and relatable way.

My counselling degree gave me a strong foundation in a range of therapeutic approaches, and I’ve since worked with people facing many different challenges, including depression, abuse, low self-esteem, parenting difficulties, relationship problems, workplace stress, bullying, anger, grief, and trauma. I also support individuals affected by eating disorders—whether personally or through someone they care about.

I’m committed to ongoing professional development and ensure that my work is regularly supervised to maintain high standards of care and support.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in both commercial and residential property, as well as in two schools—including one supporting children with additional learning needs. These varied experiences help me understand the pressures and responsibilities that many people carry throughout life.

If you’re looking for someone who will listen without judgment and walk alongside you through whatever you're facing, I’d be honoured to support you.
